The rookie became the second player in NFL history, and first in the Super Bowl era, with seven-plus TDs in his first four career games, per NFL Research (Bill Paschal had eight TDs in his first four games in 1943).
Achane became the first Dolphins player with two rushing TDs of 60-plus yards in a single season.
The rookie’s speed and second-level burst is breathtaking as he blasts past defenders’ angles to turn solid gains into massive ones. He’s the perfect fit in Mike McDaniel’s scheme, which pressures defense with speed on every level.
Missing Achane is a blow to the Dolphins’ big-play ability, but they don’t lack for playmakers. Raheem Mostert is no slouch and should see the bulk of the work. Jeff Wilson is also eligible to come off injured reserve this week.
