Trevor Lawrence is gearing up for a return on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ star quarterback, who’s listed as questionable with a left shoulder injury, is planning to play against the Houston Texans, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday, per a source.

Lawrence has missed the past two games due to the shoulder injury he sustained during a Week 9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite not missing a play in that start, Lawrence was dealing with a significant AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder which required rest and rehab. Surgery was also on the table for Lawrence, per Rapoport.

But after three weeks, Lawrence is adamant he’s playing regardless of the Jaguars’ lost season, according to Rapoport.

Head coach Doug Pederson told reporters on Friday that Lawrence was expected to play “as of right now” and it appears Lawrence is ready to resume his fourth NFL season.

Coming off a bye week, the Jaguars were able to lick their wounds after a worrisome 52-6 loss in Week 11 against the Lions with backup Mac Jones at the helm.

Lawrence will now look to finish Jacksonville’s tumultuous season on a high note.
