Mahomes hit Kelce for the combo’s 16th career postseason touchdown Sunday in the Kansas City Chiefs’ Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills. The TD moved the Mahomes-Kelce tandem past Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the most playoff scores all time by a QB-receiver duo.
That score, a 3-yard catch in which Kelce fought across the line near the pylon, gave Kansas City a three-point lead in the third quarter of a matchup that the Chiefs would emerge victorious from for a sixth consecutive trip to the AFC Championship Game.
“Patrick and Kelce, with the record that they broke there with Gronk and Tom. I mean, that was a great job there,” head coach Andy Reid said after the game.
It was the second TD the two combined for in the game.
One quarter earlier, Kelce had hauled in a 22-yard pass from Mahomes to tie Brady and Gronkowski at 15.
